As a group of around 450 employees working in a railway PSU, we were hired through an all-India test and interview process. Our work is permanent in nature, but we’re employed on a contractual basis, with our contracts renewed annually. Some of us have been with the company for over 8 years. I bought a new car from a dealer in my city, but they registered it in my father’s name instead of mine, even though all the payment receipts and invoice were in my name as per my Aadhaar card. The dealer’s agent made the mistake. Now, they’re giving me trouble getting the road tax receipt, insurance policy copy, and other documents.
