My brother, a head constable in the Delhi Police, lives with our parents and me, though on different floors. He constantly creates problems, threatens violence, and verbally abuses our family. I’m planning to buy a flat in Mumbai. The previous owner, a gentleman, passed away earlier this year, and his wife now owns the property. The building society has also updated the share certificate in her name. She has three children: a 21-year-old daughter, a 24-year-old son, and a 17-year-old son. My lawyer says all legal heirs must be included in the sale agreement, but the youngest son can’t be part of it because he’s a minor. This means I can’t sign an agreement without him, and it’s putting the deal in jeopardy. They suggested waiting until he turns 18 or getting court permission (which could take four months). Is there any other legal solution I can explore to get this property?

I took a home loan from a bank in 2006 for â‚¹3.5 lakh and made regular payments for five years. In 2012, the bank sent me a letter with a total balance amount, but when I reviewed my monthly statements, I discovered they charged me an interest rate of 18.5% despite promising 11.75% at the time of the loan. I’ve contacted them numerous times through calls, emails, and in person, but haven’t received any resolution. Now, they’ve sent a letter with an advertisement for an auction under rules 8(5), 9(1), and 13(4). I recently received an allotment for a B-type dwelling unit from the Indian Welfare Organisation (IRWO) in Chennai. I had an HDFC credit card and used it for about â‚¹1 lakh. For four years, I only paid the minimum amount due. I tried repeatedly to get a loan from them but was always rejected.
