I’m insured with Religare and was hospitalized for appendicitis at one of their network hospitals. After talking to their customer service, I chose a room costing ₹3,000, which was within my budget. However, when my claim was processed, they said the room fee should include extra charges totaling ₹4,000. They explained that this would mean the bill would be split 75:25, with only 75% reimbursed. The bill clearly shows a room fee of ₹3,000, so I’m confused about this additional charge.

Dear Sir/Madam,My mother, Late Smt. Jumana Devi, held a Jeevan Anand policy (No. 331636451) with a sum assured of Rs. 1 lakh for the past 11 years. We paid 10 premiums totaling Rs. 140,000/-. Upon her passing, we received a claim of Rs. 139,000/- which was less than the total premiums paid. When I spoke to the LIC CRM Manager, they claimed the claim was calculated correctly, including the sum assured, bonus, and other benefits. They also stated that any legal challenge would likely favor LIC.Should I pursue legal action against LIC? Respected Sir,The company keeps asking for documents even though I’ve already submitted everything. Their latest request is for a completed KYC form (part of the claim form) and a self-declaration on the amount of tobacco I chew daily. I’ve submitted KYC twice already. Earlier, they asked for a doctor’s certificate about the cause of my current illness. My iPhone 5S, bought from Laxmi Nagar with insurance, was stolen on December 5th. I reported it to the insurance company, but they’re refusing my claim because the SIM in the phone wasn’t in my name. This wasn’t mentioned in the terms and conditions I signed, yet they won’t even forward my claim to the insurance company, saying it will be rejected. I insured the phone, not the SIM. Why does it matter who was using the SIM? I can buy a phone for anyone, and they can use any SIM they want. They’re being unreasonable, saying there’s nothing they can do.
