I got married in 1998 but never received a proper marriage certificate. I only have a copy of the form. My husband’s behaviour towards me and our teenage daughter is unbearable. He constantly uses abusive language, drinks excessively, and fights with us. We are both suffering immense mental stress. I can’t take it anymore and want to separate. I’m financially dependent and worried about my daughter’s future. She doesn’t want to live with her father either. I have no one else but my daughter. Please advise on how to proceed with a divorce and ensure our well-being.

My family and I have made it very clear to my wife’s family that we need a divorce. However, they are refusing and have been very disrespectful, accusing me of physical abuse and blaming me for her health problems. We’ve been married for three years, but haven’t been able to start a family yet. My wife works in Abu Dhabi, while I was working in Dubai until last year, when I had to return to India due to unforeseen circumstances. Sadly, I’m unemployed now and we’ve been living apart for the past year because her work contract and UAE law don’t allow us to live together. My daughter got married in December 2014. Her husband is asexual, and his family was aware of this. They tried various treatments for him, but he couldn’t have physical intimacy until July 2015. They wanted a child through IVF, but my daughter refused. Finally, they accepted that he couldn’t have children naturally, but they wanted a child through IVF.
