My marriage, five years ago, brought joy with the birth of our son, now three, but he was born with a condition that makes life difficult. While working, I lived with my in-laws, who constantly pressured me for money and dowry, even resorting to physical and mental abuse. Despite this, I supported my husband financially, contributing my gold and salary to help him purchase property. However, after registering the land in his name, he turned abusive. I filed a police complaint (498) and he agreed to live separately, but that lasted only four months. He then kidnapped our son and threatened me, forcing me to file another petition. Thankfully, he returned our son, but now he wants a divorce. I don’t want this, and I can’t bear the thought of rejoining him.
