My wife and I, both remarried, had a difficult start after our wedding a year ago. Just three months in, she went back to her family home, promising to return in a week. But from there, she demanded gold ornaments. When I couldn’t fulfill her request, she used various reasons to delay her return, hoping her parents would pressure me into giving in. I stood firm and refused to go, instead asking her to come back. I even traveled abroad and sent her 10,000 rupees per month for three months as a gesture of reconciliation. Now that I’m back in India, she still refuses to return and is demanding monthly payments.

My wife has filed for divorce, citing various legal sections. I received a summons but didn’t accept it as I don’t want to give her a divorce. I’m living abroad and can’t manage these legal issues myself. I’ve had problems with lawyers, some even seem to be connected to my wife’s side, demanding excessive fees.
