My family is facing a nightmare in Patna. We’ve been battling two false cases (302, 307) for over 25 years, with no FIR or medical evidence to support them. One case has a witness who’s no longer available, and the other has been stuck in court for three years awaiting witness testimony. Our lawyer keeps charging us for every hearing, and someone suggested filing a quashing petition in the High Court. But even after filing in 2013, it hasn’t been assigned a number. My parents are unwell from all the stress, and I desperately want this ordeal to end. I’m also worried if this person might be filing other false cases against us. What should I do to get justice and bring this whole situation to a close?

As a young woman working late shifts in a BPO, I often find myself returning home after 11 pm. My neighbor has installed a common door in the stairwell which he locks at that time.
