My father runs a tailoring shop, sharing the space with a laundry business owned by someone else. Both of us were sub-tenants under the original owner, who has now filed separate cases asking us to vacate the premises. The laundry business won its case in the High Court, but my father’s case is still pending in a lower court. Is there any chance my father can get his part of the shop premises partitioned? We got married in 2013 but initially lived with my in-laws. In January 2016, we decided to live together. However, just a week later, my father-in-law filed a police complaint against me. My wife gave a statement saying she lived with me willingly and loved me. This led to the case being dismissed. My in-laws then took my wife away. Respected Sir,My grandfather, a Bengali who migrated to India from Bangladesh in 1964 under the D.N.K project, was listed as a Khtriya (general caste) on his family migration card. However, when the Odisha government issued him a land patta in 1979, he was listed as a Namasudra (scheduled caste). My true caste is Khtriya, but I obtained a scheduled caste certificate based on my grandfather’s land patta.I recently secured a government job, submitting my scheduled caste certificate during the application process. However, I was selected under the unreserved category. Is there any risk of future complications if someone raises concerns about my caste certificate? Could this affect my employment? The sweet shop next door has become a nuisance, dumping leftover milk and sugar in their backyard. It’s attracting flies and other insects, making the area unhealthy. My father-in-law built a house using his government retirement savings. However, a neighbor is causing trouble, claiming our house blocks his ventilation and the land is unapproved.
