My Maruti Ritz was parked in a Jammu Development Authority parking lot, where I pay a monthly fee of Rs. 1,500. On the night of December 30th, my windshield was shattered by a falling tree. The parking staff claimed it was caused by monkeys shaking the tree. I filed a police report, but my car insurance had unfortunately expired on December 25th. Since the parking authority was responsible for my vehicle’s safety, could I be entitled to some compensation for the damages? I’d appreciate a legal opinion on this matter.

My son passed away without a will, leaving behind some savings in mutual funds, fixed deposits, and bank accounts. I, as his mother, filed a case in the city civil court to claim his assets. My daughter-in-law, who was also a legal heir, was involved. We reached an agreement in court, and the judge passed a decision based on this agreement. Our lawyer also obtained a succession certificate for me. I had paid 1 lakh rupees as an advance fee, and my lawyer said the total cost would be 2 lakhs. Now, he’s demanding a share of the assets, even though we didn’t discuss this beforehand. I’m worried and confused. What can I do? How can I get copies of the court order and the succession certificate?

I filed complaints about issues I faced with the education department on the PGMS portal. The Education Officer/Deputy Director of Education responded, but some of their statements about me are untrue and damaging to my reputation. They claim things never happened, and I’ve been asking for 3 months for proof to support these claims. Despite repeated requests, they haven’t provided any evidence. My friend was stopped by the police for not wearing a helmet. He forgot his documents too, so they took his bike to Prashant Vihar Police Station. They asked us to write an application with a â‚¹11 ticket and get it attested by the ACP, which we did. Now they’re saying we have to wait till 12th February because the application needs to go to the SHO, then back to the ACP, and then the bike will be transferred to Sector 16 Police Station. I bought a plot of land in January 2013. The seller agreed to clear the land and show us its boundaries within two months, after which I was to pay him the final amount. We asked him to return the signed agreement and collect his payment on the 10th of January, but he claimed he couldn’t find it and requested a bank transfer. We refused to pay without the agreement. On the 19th, he promised to bring it. However, he only returned with the agreement when we showed him the money, grabbed it, and ran away.
