My name is Tushar Kapoor, and I live in Delhi. A few months ago, I was wrongly accused of an acid attack and detained by the police for a day, despite no evidence against me. The victim’s family pressured my family to force me to confess. To be released, I wrote a statement under duress as the police threatened further accusations that would prevent my bail. Recently, the original victim and her friend arranged for someone to throw liquid on me and threatened me to stay away. When we informed the victim’s parents, her sister posted on Facebook accusing me of being a criminal and threatening to make a video about my mother for YouTube. The police are not helping me. I need legal advice on how to deal with this situation.

I’m the Head of Content and Social Media at a digital agency in Goregaon, Mumbai. I was suddenly let go on November 2nd while I was on medical leave, without any warning or explanation. My boss then sent me a screenshot of a personal chat and an audio message on WhatsApp as the reason for my termination. My salary is due on November 7th, and I still have the company laptop with all my emails. Is this considered an illegal termination?
