We are a group of students who completed our distance learning courses from Punjab Technical University (PTU) in 2015. We studied at their Kolkata study centre, which was established in 2011. We are facing difficulties getting admission to IGNOU as they claim PTU was not allowed to offer courses outside Punjab during that time. However, the policy changed on June 8th, 2012. The University Grants Commission (UGC) also confirmed that PTU was allowed to offer courses outside Punjab between March 10th, 2010, and June 8th, 2012.
