I’m going through a difficult separation. I left my husband’s home in Hyderabad five months ago but waited to get my money back first. We bought a house together, and he took around 15 lakhs from me. Now that I’m moving forward with the divorce, he’s refusing to return my money. I live in Bangalore now, and he’s still in Hyderabad.I’m thinking of filing a police complaint in Hyderabad with a known ACP in the Family Police unit to help recover my money. Then, after about a week, I want to file for divorce in Bangalore.Is this the right process? Can I file a police case in Hyderabad and a divorce case in Bangalore separately?

My family and I bought a flat from a well-known builder in Noida, but it’s been a nightmare. They sold us an illegal basement servant quarter, charged us extra for the apartment, and delayed handing it over for three years. Then, they charged us a whopping 36% interest for the delay! My son recently purchased a flat with a bank loan, and I’m listed as a co-owner on the documents even though I didn’t contribute financially. The flat is registered, and we have possession. Now, my wife wants to buy a parking space for the flat, and she’s paid for it in full. My family booked a flat in Assotech’s “The Nest” project back in 2012, paying half the cost. We signed the agreement with the builder then. After 2014, we haven’t heard from them. Every time we call, they promise work will start in two weeks. Yesterday, their main office was closed, so we went to their temporary office. My grandfather built a house and sadly passed away. It was inherited by my grandmother, who has two children, my father and his sister. The house has three floors. My grandmother’s will states that two floors should go to my father and one to his sister. I paid a token amount to a builder by cheque in their name. They promised to get the completion certificate by mid-November and then hand over the documents. My loan is already approved, but I’m worried because the builder didn’t give me a receipt for the token payment. If any issues arise, how can I recover my money?
