My wife left me in August 2014 and accused me of dowry harassment in a domestic violence complaint. She claimed my mother took her jewelry and never returned it. I attended counseling, but no dowry list was given to me. After the counseling failed, a police case was filed. It’s been a year, and I haven’t received any notice from the police. All the accusations are false. I’m contesting both the domestic violence and maintenance case. However, she’s been wearing the jewelry she said was taken. Some of her jewelry is still in our house, but I want to return it to avoid legal trouble. How can I return it to the court myself? Mediation is underway, but settlement seems unlikely.

I tried to compensate for the damage to his bike, but his relatives gathered and kept me waiting for hours without revealing their demands. Feeling unsafe, I left for my family’s well-being. Recently, the traffic police contacted me, asking me to visit the station with my vehicle. They registered a case under sections 279, 337, and 187, provided me with a copy of the complaint, and issued a bond for my vehicle’s release after I got it cleared from the RTO. My car was undamaged. The police informed me that I only need to pay a fine of â‚¹1500 in court when summoned. What happens next? Will the case be closed after paying the fine?
