As a pharmacist working at Jawaharlal Nehru University’s health center in New Delhi, I’ve been employed on a contract basis through different agencies since August 2007. Between November 2012 and April 2015, my salary was â‚¹14,000 per month. However, after a new agency took over the contract, my salary was cut down to â‚¹11,000. Given I perform the same duties at the same location, is this salary reduction justified? Are there any rules governing such salary changes? How can I revert to my previous pay scale?
