My family and I are facing a major issue due to a plastic bag manufacturing factory built on land allotted for a handloom shed in our colony. We’ve already filed complaints with the State Pollution Board, Municipal Corporation, District Town Planner, Area Fire Brigade, and the District Commissioner’s grievance cell. However, the District Commissioner’s office dismissed our complaint, claiming the land was allocated for a “green industry” – a handloom shed. But the allotted shed was demolished, and the factory owner built his unit in the basement near our homes, claiming it’s a godown. The Pollution Control Board, after investigating, initiated sealing the factory, but due to political pressure, the action was halted. What steps can we take now to ensure the factory is shut down and our health is protected?

I’m about to complete two months at my job, but I’ve decided to resign to pursue a course.
