My family member was involved in a hit-and-run accident. We learned about it 36 hours later. The police said they received information at 7 am, completed the post-mortem by 1 pm, and cremated the body at 5 pm the same day. We are confused because the body was kept for almost two days. The police said one leg was crushed and they gave a photo to the newspaper but it wasn’t published. They also said the body was starting to smell, so they cremated it quickly. We suspect it might be a murder, not an accident. What can we do to get justice?
