I joined a private school in India and worked for 45 days. Sadly, things didn’t work out with the management, and I had to resign immediately. However, the school is refusing to pay my salary for the entire period, claiming I didn’t complete a month’s notice. My offer letter doesn’t mention anything about a notice period. How can I get my hard-earned salary back?

In India, if your offer letter doesn’t specify a notice period, you are not legally bound to serve one. The school’s refusal to pay your salary for the entire period worked is unjust. You can file a complaint with the labour department or approach the court to seek your rightful dues.
