My wife left for her brother’s house with our children six years ago. We filed a missing person report but her brother confirmed their safety and refuses to let me speak to her or tell me their location. He claims I mistreated her. Can I legally go to his house and bring back our children? Would she be able to file a complaint against me if I did so?

You cannot legally go to your brother-in-law’s house and take your children back without a court order. It’s essential to approach the matter legally, and your wife can file a complaint against you for trespassing and potentially abduction if you attempt to take the children without proper authorization. Contact a lawyer to understand your legal options and obtain a court order for custody or visitation.
