My parents have two children – my brother and me. My sister is married now. If my father decides to give her a portion of his property, can I claim a share in it?

Under Indian law, a father can gift any portion of his property to his children. While your brother and you are entitled to a share in your father’s property upon his death, your sister’s marriage does not give you a claim in the gifted property.
