Under Indian law, a daughter has a legal right to inherit her father’s property, including sale proceeds. However, if the sale of the land was legally executed and the daughter was aware of the transaction at the time, her claim might be weakened. The specifics of the transaction and her knowledge at the time would be key factors in determining the validity of her claim.
