My grandfather has a property worth about 10 lakhs. I have two sisters and a brother. Is there any chance we, his granddaughters, could get a share?

Under Indian law, granddaughters are not direct legal heirs to their grandfather’s property. However, if your grandfather passes away without a will, his property will be divided among his legal heirs, which would include your father and his siblings. You could inherit a share indirectly through your father’s inheritance.
