You can demand compensation from the company under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. You can initiate a legal process in the Consumer Forum if the company doesn’t respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe or doesn’t offer a satisfactory solution.

Previous Article I bought a flat in Bangalore in 2004 and have lived there ever since. I took a loan from Standard Chartered Bank to buy it. Recently, I discovered that the sale agreement with the builder wasn’t registered, but the sale deed was registered and all stamp duty was paid. However, the joint development agreement between the builder and the landlord wasn’t registered. The builder held a Power of Attorney from the landlord when I registered the property, but this Power of Attorney wasn’t registered.
