My father was allotted a Janta Flat in 1985 under the 1979 HUDCO scheme. He later applied for a LIG Plot under the 1981 scheme, mentioning our earlier allotment. We received an offer letter in 2003, but my father passed away in 1999. I completed all payments and formalities, but DDA is refusing possession, citing the 1979 allotment. What can I do to get the plot?

You can approach the DDA, highlighting your father’s demise in 1999 and the completion of payments despite the 1979 allotment. You can also file a legal case against DDA, arguing that the earlier allotment is irrelevant since your father passed away before receiving possession of the LIG plot.
