My father passed away a few years ago. After his death, my stepmother and her friend (now a prominent leader) pressured my sister and me into signing documents that transferred 3 acres of our family land to them in August 2010. They claimed it was to settle a debt my father owed them. Then, in August 2015, my stepmother registered another 2.5 acres in her friend’s name and 2.5 acres in her daughter’s name, this time without our consent. This transfer included 60 cents of land registered under my name, while the rest belonged to my grandparents.

You have grounds to challenge the land transfer. The 2010 transfer, obtained through pressure and without proper documentation of the debt, might be considered voidable. The 2015 transfer, done without your consent and involving land registered under your name, is clearly illegal. You should consult a lawyer to explore legal options for challenging these transfers and reclaiming your rightful inheritance.
