My father bought a house, but unfortunately, he’s no longer with us. Now, my mother owns the property, but she refuses to give me my share. I’m struggling to make ends meet, living in a rented flat, while my brother enjoys the comfort of the house with my mother. It’s causing a lot of distress, and my family could end up on the street. I contributed 60% of the purchase price, but my mother is denying me my rightful share. What legal options do I have in this situation?

You have the legal right to claim your share of the property as a legal heir. You can approach the court to seek a partition of the property, presenting evidence of your financial contribution. If your mother continues to deny your claim, the court can order a sale of the property and division of the proceeds according to your share.
