My family was granted 10 guntas of land in Sy No 16, Myadarahalli (V) in 1964, based on a special DC order for inam abolition in Bangalore. While our names were initially recorded in the revenue records (RTC, RR, Form 8), these entries stopped appearing after 1985. Now, our names are missing from all records, and a different person is listed as the owner. The Assistant Commissioner also seems to have made this error. How can we reclaim our rightful ownership of this land?

You can reclaim your land by filing a suit for possession and declaration of title in the civil court. You will need to prove your family’s ownership based on the 1964 DC order and the initial revenue records. You should also investigate why your names were removed from the records and seek to correct this error.
