A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is a good idea to formalize your agreement, ensuring clarity on ownership, shared spaces, and responsibilities. However, consult a lawyer to draft the MoU as per Kerala’s laws on property sharing and building regulations to avoid future disputes. Registering the MoU with the relevant authorities is also recommended.
