I’ve raised a complaint with the Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) about our society’s Management Committee (MC) giving one of its flats to an employee. The RWA has ordered the employee to vacate the flat within a month, but I’m unsure if they’ll comply. What should I do next, and who should I approach?
Additionally, the MC refused to charge this employee common service charges, even though he benefits from facilities like other residents. They claim the charges don’t apply to society flats, but they are collecting a small rent from him. Is there any way to ensure he contributes fairly?

You can approach the local Consumer Forum or the District Magistrate, if the RWA and employee fail to comply with the vacate order. Regarding common service charges, the MC’s claim is incorrect as the employee is a resident benefiting from society facilities and must contribute accordingly. You can consult a lawyer to initiate legal proceedings against the MC for non-compliance.
