I’m trying to understand the process of transferring my late parents’ property to my name. My father built a house in 1987 on land inherited from his parents. Since then, I’ve been paying property tax to the Nagar Nigam in his name. However, the online Land records show the property under a third party’s name. I only have property tax receipts in my father’s name. Can you guide me through the steps to get the property registered in my name, especially since I don’t have any registry papers or information about how the third party acquired the land?
