My landlord recently passed away, and now two or three people are claiming to be the new landlord, each asking for rent. Who should I pay the rent to? Is there any way to resolve this situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should not pay rent to anyone until the legal heir(s) of the deceased landlord are established. You can seek legal advice or approach the local court to determine the rightful heir. Until the legal heir is decided, you can withhold rent payment and document all communication with potential heirs.
