I worked at a Reliance BPO in India for three months, earning a salary of 7,000 rupees. Sadly, the company closed down on April 14, 2014, and I was asked to resign. They promised my final settlement (FNF) within three months, but it’s been years, and I haven’t received it. The company authorities keep giving excuses and avoiding my requests. Many other ex-employees like me are in the same situation.

As per the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, your employer is legally obligated to pay your final settlement within the stipulated time. The fact that the company closed down does not absolve them of their responsibility. You can pursue legal action in a labor court to recover your FNF, including unpaid wages and other benefits.
