I won a case against my department in January. But, they haven’t followed the court order and filed an appeal in July. Even though it’s listed on the Supreme Court website, no stay was granted. I wasn’t even notified. I’m planning to file for contempt in the High Court. What should I do now? What steps should I take when the case comes up for hearing?

You should proceed with your contempt petition in the High Court. Since no stay was granted, the original court order remains enforceable. When the case comes up for hearing, be prepared to present evidence of the department’s non-compliance and argue that their actions constitute contempt of court.
