Your wife can file for maintenance under the Hindu Marriage Act, claiming that you are legally married and she needs financial support. She can also petition the court for maintenance for your children, including for their education and marriage expenses. However, the court will consider your financial capacity and your children’s needs while deciding on the amount of maintenance.
