Under the Hindu Marriage Act, cruelty is a ground for divorce. However, “insensitivity” and “rudeness” alone may not constitute cruelty unless they cause serious mental or physical harm to you. You would need to demonstrate the impact of his behavior on your well-being to succeed in a divorce petition.
