I was chatting with a girl online and suggested she focus on her studies instead of spending so much time chatting. She got upset and accused me of harassment, which wasn’t true at all. I just wanted her to use her time wisely, but she kept calling it harassment. I didn’t say anything inappropriate or offensive, but I’m worried because I didn’t save the chat. Could she still file a harassment case against me?

In India, online harassment is a serious offense under the Information Technology Act, 2000. While your intention may have been good, your advice, if interpreted as unwanted and causing distress, could be considered harassment. However, without a record of the chat, it will be difficult to prove your side of the story.
