[“Definition of Queen”.] Omitted by the A. O. 1950.

Explanation

Section 13 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) originally defined the word “Queen” in the context of the code. It stated that the word “Queen” referred to the reigning Sovereign of the United Kingdom.

This section was repealed and replaced after India’s independence and the establishment of the Republic of India.
