What are the legal rights of a daughter-in-law regarding her in-laws’ self-acquired and inherited property in India?

A daughter-in-law in India has no inherent right to her in-laws’ self-acquired or inherited property. However, she may acquire rights through a valid will, gift deed, or if the property is held jointly with her husband.
