Should Hindu parents publicly disown their son for his disobedience, severing any ties to their property?

Indian law does not allow parents to disinherit a son solely based on disobedience. Property rights are determined by inheritance laws, and a son’s conduct does not automatically negate his inheritance. However, a son’s actions may lead to legal consequences if they violate the law or harm the family.
