My uncle has taken control of our family property using a fake power of attorney document. He presented it to the corporation, despite it not being registered. Though my parents’ signatures are on the last page, they were unaware of this document. The corporation claims we authorized them through this power of attorney and refuses to help us. What can we do?

You can file a police complaint alleging forgery and fraud. You can also file a civil suit against your uncle and the corporation to challenge the validity of the power of attorney and recover your property. The court will examine the document’s authenticity and your parents’ consent, and you may be able to recover the property.
