My husband received a piece of land from his brother as a gift two years ago. If we decide to sell it in the future, will his brother’s son or wife have any claim to the property?

Under Indian law, a gift of property is a valid transfer of ownership. Your husband’s brother’s son or wife would not have any claim to the property unless it was specifically stipulated in the gift deed or if there was evidence of fraud or undue influence.
