Yes, under Indian law, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is required to provide you with a notice before demolishing any property. This is a legal requirement for any demolition action, ensuring due process and allowing you to challenge the action. If they demolished your roof without notice, you can file a complaint with the MCD, the Delhi High Court, or the National Human Rights Commission, seeking compensation for the damage and challenging the illegal demolition.
