My father recently passed away, and my mother divided his property and rental income equally between herself and my two brothers (my eldest brother is deceased, so his wife received his share). However, she excluded me, the youngest daughter. She claims I have no legal right to the property, which I know is wrong. I’m concerned they are misinterpreting the law. What legal options do I have to ensure I receive my rightful share?

You have legal rights to inherit your father’s property as his daughter. You can file a suit for partition of the property and claim your share, challenging your mother’s decision to exclude you. The court will determine your rightful share based on the law of intestate succession and the applicable inheritance laws.
