My father purchased a property and registered it in my mother’s name. Sadly, he passed away recently. My mother sold the property without consulting us. Do we, his children, have any right to a share in this land?

Under Indian law, the property was legally registered in your mother’s name. Therefore, she had the right to sell it. As her children, you may not have a legal claim to the property unless there was a will or other legal document explicitly stating otherwise.
