My father passed away without a will. He owned a house he built himself. We are two brothers and two sisters. Will my nephew get a share of the property? If my siblings give me a deed transferring their share, can my nephew still claim a part of the house?

As per the Indian Succession Act, your father’s property will be divided equally amongst his legal heirs, which include your siblings and you. Your nephew is not a legal heir in this case and therefore has no claim to the property. If your siblings transfer their shares to you via a deed, your nephew will not have any claim as the ownership will be legally transferred to you.
