My father passed away in 2002 without a will. We are six siblings – four daughters and two sons. My grandfather owned the property, and we haven’t divided it yet. I’m a daughter, and I want to know if I can claim an equal share of the property. Can I legally request an equal division? If I send a notice to my mother through the court about this, and they don’t respond, what will happen? Will I receive my rightful share of the property?
