Under Indian law, your sister’s son could have a claim based on his mother’s inherited share in the ancestral property. You can file a suit for declaration of title, seeking to establish your ownership based on the gift deed and argue that your sister’s son’s claim is barred by limitation. However, you should consult a lawyer for specific advice on your case and potential defenses.

Can we sell our share based solely on the 1945 court decree? Also, do we need to present a property map and assessment certificate for the sale deed registration?
