My father passed away in 1990, and my mother in 2014. We have four sisters and one brother (myself). My three sisters signed a gift deed transferring the ancestral property to me in 2015. Unfortunately, my sister who passed away in 1967 after her marriage wasn’t included. Her son is now threatening a land dispute.
Is his claim valid? If so, what are my legal options to protect my ownership?

Under Indian law, your sister’s son could have a claim based on his mother’s inherited share in the ancestral property. You can file a suit for declaration of title, seeking to establish your ownership based on the gift deed and argue that your sister’s son’s claim is barred by limitation. However, you should consult a lawyer for specific advice on your case and potential defenses.
