My father has earned 300 square yards of land. He gifted 100 square yards, 50 square yards, and 50 square yards to my siblings and me. The remaining 100 square yards, where we built a two-storey building using joint funds, is still in his name. He now wants to give this remaining land and building to my elder brother, even though he already gifted him 100 square yards. We disagree, as it’s our joint money and property. What legal options do we have to prevent this from happening?

You can challenge your father’s decision to gift the remaining land and building to your elder brother. You can argue that the property was acquired through joint funds and that you have a right to it as joint owners. You can file a suit for partition of the property in a civil court, seeking your share as per your contribution to the building.
