My elderly father owns a residential property in Gautam Nagar, behind AII. He’s given me legal power of attorney for this property, registered with the High Court in Nainital, Uttarakhand. We live in Uttarakhand and he’s unable to travel to Delhi. How can I transfer ownership of the property to my name without him needing to visit Delhi? Thank you for your advice.

You can transfer ownership of the property to your name through a Power of Attorney (POA) executed by your father. The POA, registered in Nainital High Court, empowers you to sell the property. However, as the property is in Delhi, you will need to get the POA registered in Delhi as well. This will allow you to transfer the property to your name through a sale deed executed by your father in Uttarakhand and registered in Delhi.
