My brother bought a flat in 1900, putting the title in his wife’s name but using his own money. He signed all the original documents. He lived in the flat for 30 years, paying all the property taxes and maintenance. Now, my brother and his family are out of town, and his younger brother has forcefully entered the flat. What are my brother’s legal rights in this situation? He still has all the original documents. We are Hindus/Jains.

Your brother has strong legal rights as he funded the purchase and lived in the flat for 30 years, despite the title being in his wife’s name.
