I’m an elderly person in Kolkata, appointed as executor of a property. The will prohibits selling or gifting it. I have no one to take over my role. Could the court allow me to sell the property?

Under Indian law, the court can grant permission to sell the property if it’s in the best interest of the beneficiaries, even if the will restricts it. However, the court will consider factors like your age, health, and the reasons for needing to sell the property before making a decision.
